Basic Course

CDL Class A - 160 Hours. ELDT Theory test (FMCSA compliance) is included. Permit Test includes: General Knowledge, Combination, and Air Brakes. Practice Test includes: Pre-trip (inspection), Skills Test, and Road Test.

Duration of Program: 5-8 weeks

Intermediate Course

CDL Class A - 200 Hours. ELDT Theory test (FMCSA compliance) is included. Permit Test includes: General Knowledge, Combination, and Air Brakes. Practice Test includes; Pre-trip (inspection), Skills Test, and Road Test. Difference between Basic Course and the Intermediate program, would be having more behind the wheel hours/training , unlimited re-test (if needed), DOT, Drug Screen, CLP (permit), Hazmat fingerprint, Hazmat State testing, and Hazmat Federal Testing (HAZMAT Theory Test) all associated fees is included in your tuition.

Endorsements

Hazmat- We Offer Hazmat theory class. We are registered with the ELDT system.

Requirements:

  • Classroom hours.

  • Have a Valid class A CDL License from Illinois.

You will be doing the Intermediate course. —Starting in July 2025 you can select either course—

It is as described above. The difference includes:

  • You will have to be in school Monday-Friday minimum 5hrs/day

    • We are flexible with your work schedule. Must let us know ahead of time.

  • Both courses for WIOA student will include: additional behind the wheel practice (if needed), and Retest Fee waived off.

  • If you want to do Hazmat you must select the Intermediate course. This cost is included in your tuition (depending on your county).
